Getting to Lalitpur
The HBM Hospital is in the town of Lalitpur which is the head-quarters of the Lalitpur District in the South West corner of Uttar Pradesh (yes there is a big town called Lalitpur in Nepal – but that is very different).
Are you coming from ‘out of station’? Well, Lalitpur has a good railway station which is connected to most parts of India by rail.
If you want to fly in? You will have to take a flight to Gwalior or Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh which are the nearest airports and then take a 3.5 hrs hour taxi drive to Lalitpur.
Coming from abroad? Our advice would be to fly into New Delhi and then take the Bhopal Shatabdi which is a 6 hour train journey.
Are you from somewhere in Bundelkhand? Lalitpur is just off National Highway 26. We have bus services to many towns in Madhya Pradesh and other parts of Uttar Pradesh. We are 95 kms South of Jhansi and 245 kms north of Bhopal and 110 kms away from Sagar.
Once you are in Lalitpur town
Finding the HBM hospital is easy. We are in the heart of Lalitpur town – in an area called the ‘civil lines’. In fact, our hospital is just opposite to the Civil /District Hospital and a 3 minute walk from the Sadan Shah Dargah.
We are just 400 Meters away from the main Bus stand and 2.5 Km from Railway station
A note for outsiders – most local people will not be familiar with the term “HBM hospital” as they normally refer to our hospital as “Isahi Mission Hospital.” Local transportation options include both cycle and autorickshaws.
